Job description: The Wetzel Lab at MSU has lab and greenhouse research positions (~40 hrs/wk) for Summer 2023. This is a great opportunity to gain research experience and build your scientific resume. The work will involve assisting researchers with setting up experiments in the lab and field, growing plants, rearing insects, and collecting data. Studies will focus on how environmental variability influences the interactions between plants, insects, and their predators. Specifically, we will study the interactions between common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) and monarch caterpillars (Danaus plexippus).
